AIRPORT GROUND HANDLING SUPERVISION
Passenger Ground Handling Services
- Provide all necessary documentation required for check-in procedures performed by local
Ground Handling Agency (Passenger lists, Boarding passes, Baggage tags, etc.)
- Ensure that proper identification for the Carrier's check-in counters is made available by the Handling Agent.
- Supervise that all check-in procedures are in accordance with the instructions received from the Carrier.
- Deliver in-flight information sheet to cabin attendants (special meals etc.).
- Handling all pre and post flight messages regarding passenger related procedures.
- Supervise that the Party involved in check-in activities for the flights is aware and will check validity of passenger's travel documents in accordance with applicable laws.
- Instruct personnel and supervise all seat assignment procedures, when required.
- Provide assistance to passengers in the event of prolonged stopovers, delays, cancellation of flight in accordance with Carrier's instructions.
- Ensure that the number of embarking passenger count will tally with flight documents.
- Supervise boarding and loading activities as per given instructions and procedures.
- Lost & Found activities (if requested and agreed upon).

STATION OPERATIONS
- Take all necessary actions to notify, in due time, all parties concerned of pre-arrival information (changes in ETA, offloading instructions etc.)
- Supervise and monitor safe, proper and prompt positioning of all ramp equipment during Aircraft ground time (APU, GPU, stairs, conveyor belts, catering trucks etc.)
- Ensure that proper cleaning of the cabin is performed.
- Supervise Aircraft weight and balance documentation, when required.
- Supervise that preparation, issuance and distribution of load plan instructions are delivered timely to appropriate Ground Handling Agents' personnel.
- Supervise that the operational messages related to Aircraft movement, load, delays, crew disposition, catering and any other instructions, in accordance with Carrier's procedures are being regularly sent by local Ground Handling Agency.
- Co-ordinate and keep crew advised as to wake up, pick up times, etc. according to flight routine or revised schedule and adjust transportation accordingly. Monitor crew on duty times as per Carrier's instructions when required.
- Brief crew prior to departure including provision of whether folder and eventual filing of flight plan.
- Flight control coverage (h16) from our operations office, including monitoring by qualified operations personnel.
- Handling, follow up, approval of slot times with ATC, when required.
- ULD stock control.

CARGO GROUND HANDLING SERVICES
EXPORT
- Reservations, issuance of pre-manifests, check of customs documentation in order to proceed to embarkation of cargo; provision of loading instructions to Airport Handling Company and supervision of ULD’s build-up; cargo tracking and tracing; booking of shipments for cargo beyond the main destination airports of represented carriers; ULD stock control; follow up of claims and report to the carrier for the final settlement; check and control of AWB stock.
- Direct sales with AWB issuance, customs clearing and pick up from customers’ warehouse.
- Handling and supervision of special cargo such as HUM, PER, BLOOD, Human Organs, AVI, HEA, VAL, DGR (with certified personnel both in Fiumicino and Malpensa Airports).
- Issuing of export cargo sales report on a monthly basis or when required by the carrier.
IMPORT
- 1. Notification of cargo to customers; documents delivery and collection of airport taxes or freight charges in case of cargo on collect basis; cargo transfer to other airlines when required; follow up of claims.
- Customs clearance procedures for incoming cargo and delivery to final destination.
- Issuing of import sales report on a monthly basis or when required by the carrier.

CATERING
- Management of all operational activities including all aspects of in-flight services.
- Development and marketing of the product.
SECURITY
- Ensuring necessary security levels established by the Carriers with regards to: Passengers, Baggage, Freight, Mails, Company properties and aircraft during ground time
- Ground Security Co-ordination - FAA qualified
STATION ADMINISTRATION
(if requested and agreed upon)
- File and obtain traffic rights and/or perform notifications with local Government Authorities.
- Prearrange, with Ground Handling Agencies and/or Vendors in locations of planned operations, credit facilities and perform payments for all expenses incurred by the Carrier on its behalf.
- Instruct Ground Handling Agencies and/or vendors to forward all invoices to Itr Handling administrative offices. Perform all necessary checks on invoices as to the exactness of charges and request credit notes in favour of Carrier, when applicable.
- Supervise that all services to be provided by any third Party are in accordance with arrangements, prices and quality levels prearranged and contracted by Carrier.
- Act as a liaison between Carrier and all Airport's Departments, local Authorities and Vendors, in the best interest of Carrier.
- Prepare and deliver all necessary Airport forms and/or reports related to flight operations or bureaucratic requirements.
